My Career Path

A Short Summary of how I am, and where I will be.

2014-

Military

On June 12, 2014, only one week after I graduated Highschool. I was shipped off to MCRD Camp Pendleton to begin my first real career as a United States Marine. I worked endlessly for months to be the best version I could be; through discipline, determination, and enthusiasm, I grew to be someone I could be proud of. I received and earned the Military Occupational Specialty codes of 0341(Infantry Mortarman), 0916 (Martial Arts Instructor), 0933 (Marine Corps Combat Marksmanship Coach). I gained wisdom that I will carry long after my military career ends.

2021

A sudden Change of career path

Shortly After, I suffered some injuries to my knee and received my 2nd knee surgery. I was faced with the decision to end my military career and search for a new one that would challenge and push me being my own expectations. That is when I learned about coding and Udemy. I have studied intensely to prepare myself for the termination of my Active service. Faced with such a wide career turn, the path has been everything, but easy. And that is exactly what I wanted.

2022

Acceptance to Code Platoon

I was very fortunate to have found Code Platoon, where I had a challenging time just by attempting the applications process. I have learned a lot while completing the prerequisites for my upcoming cohort starting in January. I hope to gain as much knowledge as possible, and to gain the experience to set myself on that next level of knowledge.
